Spring 2025 SLO Compost Giveaway

We are excited to announce that our Spring 2025 Compost Giveaway will take place on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

We will have two self-service lanes, one for those bringing their own buckets or bags to shovel and fill their own bags and another lane for pick-up trucks and cars with small trailers loading from the compost hall. No commercial trucks are permitted. Upon arrival, let one of our volunteers in yellow vests know you’re there, and they will direct you to the appropriate spot or queue.

If you are coming with a pick-up truck or trailer, please remember to bring tarps to cover your load before leaving the property. We want to be good neighbors and ensure that the compost does not spill onto our public roadways.
