Hitachi Zosen Inova’s new state of the art, high solids anaerobic digestion facility in SLO County has been converting organic waste into carbon-neutral biogas and high-grade natural compost since September 2018.
The San Luis Obispo plant is designed, financed, built, owned, and operated by HZI USA LLC, a subsidiary of Swiss-based Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI). It’s the HZI Group’s first installation in North America.
HZI is a global leader in energy and material from waste solutions. It has built over 90 of these facilities worldwide.
